I'm a Berkeley "lifer"--I was born and raised here and currently reside in South Berkeley with my husband and daughter.  At 43, I still believe in truth, art, and love--the pulse of creative endeavor, intellectual bravery, and emotional insight.  In all the roles I assume--as a woman, mother, wife, friend, and writer--I hope that curiosity and compassion inform my conscience and influence my actions.  I love hiking the hills in Tilden, hunting for treasures in local thrift stores, stolen naps, and visits to the library.
