Alameda almost-native (mom born & raised here). Spent every summer as a kid building sand castles on the beach and watching the tide wipe them out.  Full-time resident for the past dozen or so years.  
When not feeding/tending to three rescue cats (one from ICRA) and a crazy parrot, I write/edit website content or high-tech marketing copy and every now & then still do a little website design consulting.   I'm also a photographer and photograph architecure & real estate, events, portraits/head shots, kids, pets, food... just about anything.
