With an all-volunteer staff, the Friends of the Berkeley Public Library Bookstore (one of two locations) sellsMore secondhand books in good condition for the benefit of the Berkeley Public Libraries. As the organization is non-profit, purchases are tax-free. This quiet little store is in the Sather Gate Mall, near to UC campus. It carries genres range from fiction to drama, fine arts, biography and travel, and also stocks some CDs and DVDs. Additionally, the store has a sale section for books cheaper than the already very low-priced stock.
