Occupy the Farm activists staged a daylight-only occupation of a UC Berkeley lot next to University Village in Albany and resumed planting crops on May 18, 2013. They established an overnight camp on the property a week before and were evicted by UC.

Hopefully it's little enough trouble for UC to come back Monday and plow under what the trespassersRead More have put in the ground. A few rounds of this and hopefully these faux weekend eco-warriors will move on.

I saw on the video that there was an intense ferver in some of the occupiers. If 30 people did 2Read More hours of work, then that would be about 60 hours of potentially great productive work, If that energy were directed toward the shoreline clean up, the Richmond Tithe organization, or even just doing a training on planting earth boxes, then a lot of good would have been done. When you have energy, you should direct it to a positive goal. What they did was just to annoy local residents, the real urban and organic farmers, kids in Little League and local air pollution by smoking cigarettes and sage. Too bad! Grow up!

I realize that people tend to believe that when two sides are in a dispute, the truth lies in theRead More middle. However, sometimes when two sides are in a dispute, one side is sane and the other side is crazy.

99.9% of people driving drunk and causing fatalities and accidents have a blood alcohol level wayRead More over .08 This attempt to legislate away DUI is not evidence based.

Why don't they come up with a legal limit for the THC in all the stoners out there?
Michael poland May 14, 2013 at 06:25 pm
No. .08 is DUI and .05 is not. Yes, a person may have had a drink, but would not show impairmentRead More unless mixed with some drugs (legal or illegal).

This boy who used to go to El Cerrito High school with me, whom I used to go out with bullied meRead More into feeling whatever he wanted me to feel. He video taped me naked. Lied to me and ignored most of my phone calls. Stay away from guys like that!!!!

I was bullied and stalked in High School and no matter how many times I had gone to theRead More administration they did NOTHING about it.

So, so sad.....I graduated from ECHS in 1975. I have only fond memories of school all the way fromRead More Kindergarten when I went to Del Mar Elementary School, Portola and then of course ECHS. Kids weren't like that back in the day, but of course we didn't have the internet, either. Oh sure, kids picked on one another every now and then, but I have no memories of things this tragic. I'm so glad I'm not raising a kid in these times. My heart goes out to all the families who've lost their children and loved ones to this horrific act of bullying.

The Partition area, wide opened, is approx 12inches in height. A survivor said she squeezed to getRead More thru, so obviously it was not opened all the way by the driver to allow the women an escape-access! Also, Ive read that 3 survivors escaped thru the right back door..., so why couldnt the others? In the TV News pics, the Survivors sat calmly on the side of the road... looked numb & out of it? I would have been jumping, yelling, trying to stop traffic to help us! It was hard for me to see them just sitting there quietly..., were they intoxicated? In shock? I wish the driver had, in a 2 second flash, opened the Partition all the way down as he "jumped out to save his skin" & gone to the right side to secure the door open. The flames were left-sided rear. OR was he thinkg that more air/ O2 would have lit up fire more, OR was his electricity out by the Fire? DID he try breakg a rear window open w/ his shoe at least? All of it is puzz'ling & a tragedy that has so so many unanswered questions. We count on the Captain to help us..., but remember the sunk Greek cruise ship?? Captain got off & rowed away first!! My heart goes out to the deceased here, and survivors as well.

Mylinzi: I'd like to point out that Filipinos and Filipinas can definitely party and deeeefinitelyRead More drink, nurse or not.

Why couldn't they open the door? That truly sucks, like they were locked inside their own deathRead More chamber. Had to crawl over and through the barrier between them and the driver???? I think that area should have the old fashioned pull up locks back there. The electric locks could fail if it was an electrical fire. Perhaps a mounted fire extinguisher inside the passenger area would have helped. New regulations in the 2014 limos!
