Movie theatre floors have entirely too many distracting tasty treats for a bored dog. Floor corn marinated in spilled soda and gum is apparently delicious (to a dog).

In conjunction with the Fair's 30th anniversary, the Berkeley Rotary has scheduled its annual PeaceRead More Award Ceremony to be on Wednesday, May 15. The Rotary is honoring the Dalai Lama, and his representatives will accept the award in his behalf at 3pm in the Rotary Peace Grove in Tilden Park. Additionally, that night, the First Himalayan Film Festival is premiering a documentary about the Dalai Lama at the Elmwood Theater. It's Himalayan Week in Berkeley!
