My wife uses a service dog which can go to the movies with us. We frequently leave it at home anywayRead More when going to the movies. Movie theatre floors have entirely too many distracting tasty treats for a bored dog. Floor corn marinated in spilled soda and gum is apparently delicious (to a dog).

Before they were Counting Crows...I saw them perform at the Starry Plough; only ten or so peopleRead More were present. Adam still gave a 110% raw, artistic performance, pouring his heart out. This was in the mid-90's as I recall? Thank you, Adam.

I loved the show. I highly recommend that you go and enjoy the incredible music by Leonard BernsteinRead More played by a full orchestra under the talented direction of Dave Moschler. You will enter the world of New York City in the 1930's where the cops on the beat are all Irish and have time to bestow their affections on a particular young lady from Columbus, Ohio. A time in Greenwich Village where all the "cats are hep". The singing, dancing and the costumes in this production are all "Wonderful"!

We went to the show last night and it was terrific, alot of fun. The young ensemble was wonderful,Read More especially the chemistry between the two sisters, played by Lena Mayer and Caitlin Cobb-Vialet, whose comedic timing and voices blended together well, most memorably on the classic, "Why Oh Why Ohio". The musical direction by Dave Moeschler was as outstanding, the 25-piece jazz orchestra gliding through the catchy score by Leonard Bernstein. The sets and lighting enhanced the musical, but the unsung hero of the show was the costume designer, whose period-piece outfits brought to life the Greenwich Village of 1935 in wondrous fashion. Highly recommended--a must see!

This parade is well worth going to. Did you know Alameda's own Lincoln Middle School band hasRead More marched in this parade in the past and even won an award? The band was photographed and featured in SF Magazine marching in the parade. This was under the direction of now-retired band director "Mr. D.C." . It was an amazing experience being an adult chaperone of the band marching in this parade and hearing the roar of the huge crowd as the students marched past and seeing the beautiful costumes, floats and dragon dance. Go earlly to find a good viewing spot and enjoy the parade of your lifetime! It is an experience you won't forget.
