Shibumi Gallery

Husband-and-wife team Eric Powell and April Higashi are one of those couples that seem to have its hands in all sorts of creative arts. April's Shibumi Gallery features original jewelry, clothing and sculptures by April and her husband (whose studio, Eric Powell Arts, is right around the corner). Though all pieces are for sale, the atmosphere is decidedly that of an art gallery rather than a shop. Customers can purchase woman's blouses, skirts and scarves hand-dyed in a process called itajime.
