<p>A combination bar and live music venue, Blake's has long been a presence in Berkeley, known for the bands that have gotten their start there and its good atmosphere. With three levels, the bar is often lively, being situated close to campus, while the upstairs is quieter and more intimate. Blake's features live music (in the basement level) most weekend nights, as well as DJ's on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and karaoke on Mondays. Bar food is of above average quality, and in addition to daily drink specials, Blake's' happy hour, is in effect on weekdays from 3pm - 7pm.  </p> <p><i> </i></p>
