Volunteer and stretch "hands across the sand" at Eastshore State Park

Join Friends of Five Creeks volunteers Sat., June 25, as we continue to remove natives and open "windows to the Bay" at the mouth of Schoolhouse Creek, Berkeley.

At noon we'll break for snacks and stretch "Hands Across the Sand" supporting clean energy (www.handsacrossthesand.com, supported by Sierra Club, Audubon, SurfRider, and many others).

All ages welcome. Tools, gloves, water, and snacks provided. Wear closed-toed shoes with good traction and clothes that can get dirty.

Take the Bay Trail or part at Sea Breeze Deli, 598 University, just west of I-880. Take the Bay Trail north along West Frontage Road to the small parking turnout before reaching the sports fields. Follow the service road west, jog north at the first opening in the brush, and continue west on the parallel, gravel service road to the Bay and us.
