MLK Day Milk for Kids Campaign

On MLK Day of Service, volunteers will hand out flyers that explain the Milk-for-Kids project and encourage shoppers at the partner stores to purchase milk coupons.

We'll have volunteers out there 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can join us for as little as one hour. Sign up for a shift and show up — that's it.

Parents — looking for something fun and meaningful to do with the kids on this day? You're welcome to bring kids to help out. It's easy to do; kids really "get it" and shoppers love them.

Milk-for-Kids is a project run by Daily Bread, an all-volunteer organization that helps bring more food to underfed people in the Berkeley/Oakland/Richmond community. We deliver the milk to local shelters, youth centers, and pantries. At our last Day of Service event, volunteers who helped at the event succeeded in encouraging shoppers to purchase almost 1000 coupons. Help us be successful again in 2012.
