Ex-Library Assistant Speaks out Against the Berkeley Public Library

This blog has been created to inform the citizens of Berkeley of problematic behavior that occurs at the Berkeley Public Library.

My primary objective is to show that the Berkeley Public Library, in order to keep freedom of expression as their main concern, has compromised social mores, family values and common sense.

Their choice not to censor or monitor their unfiltered computers has left them coping with furtive acts of self-pleasuring by some patrons, which conflicts with standard social mores.

By not filtering the computers specifically set aside for children and young adults (ages 13–17), they are not considering parental concerns.

The library’s use of privacy screens over the computer monitors does not work because you still see what is on the monitor from various angles in the public space.
