Delicious Brentwood “U-Pick It” Farm Tour & Picnic in the Shadow of Mount Diablo

Join Bay Area Green Tours and the Brentwood Agricultural Land Trust on an exciting U-Pick it! Tour to Brentwood!

Enjoy a beautiful day in the green with family or friends. We will visit Bloomfield Cherries, Dwelley Farms, and Bacchini Fruit Tree and pick a variety of delicious fruit right from the farms:

~ Cherries
~ Pluots
~ Blackberries
~ Apricots

Spend an intimate time with other like-minded locavores, getting to know the farmers and engaging in a dialogue about their practices. Learn about agriculture, the local food scene, and the work of great organizations such as the Brentwood Agricultural Land Trust, Slow Food, Slow Money and much more. We'll picnic in the Bloomfield Cherry Orchard and enjoy a wine tasting in a lovely scenic spot, with beautiful Mount Diablo in the background.

The orchards allow "ladderfree" picking with extra low limbs for your safety and and to let everyone, including kids, reach their own fruit.

You can bring your own buckets/baskets or get them on site.

Lunch

We will enjoy a lunch picnic on hay bales and relax from the harvest work before conquering the next orchard. Bring your own lunch or choose our organic lunch box when signing up (add $15.00, optional).

Wine will be available on site from Contra Costa Wine Company.

For your comfort, please wear closed shoes with low heels. Bring some water and cash to pay for your pickings. You can bring your own buckets/baskets or get them on site.

Tours depart rain or shine. Tickets can not be refunded but can be transferred to friends. Transportation is provided - see pick up information below.
