I have lived on Dwight Way for several years now. The speed limit is 25mph, which virtually no one adheres to. My problem is this, for several months now I have been monitoring the speed of the traffic on Dwight Way and some of the biggest offenders are the BPD. I have observed BPD travelling in excess of 50mph, now the law states an emergency vehicle on a call can exceed the speed limit by 10mph. BPD seems to think they are above this law and can endager the public and small animals. If I were to drive 50+ mph I would get a huge ticket and possibly driving to endanger charge. Ambulances carrying patients don't drive nearly as fast. Who polices the police here?
