Warm & Classical Send-off for Berkeley High Class of 2013
The sun was turned up to high and the location was full classical as the Berkeley High School Class of 2013 received their diplomas at UC Berkeley's Greek Theatre on Friday.
It was hot late Friday afternoon when the Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley filled with excitement as Berkeley High School seniors received their diplomas amid a crowd of friends, family and other enthusiastic well-wishers.
The central seating area of the 110-year-old, classical open-air theater was a small sea of yellow and red gowns and mortar boards, while the tiers of surrounding seats featured not only a wide variety of attire but also parasols and papers raised over heads to ward off the unrelenting sun.
