Is it true? Can desserts really be nutrient dense whole food morsels of yumminess?!
Totally.
Join us as we celebrate the sweet and the nutritious! From white to brown, raw to rapidura, we will explore the conventional sugars found in our local markets. From there, we’ll move into the world of natural sweeteners and other scrumptious ingredients. Your sweet tooth will be celebrating the cacao, raving the coconut and praising the prunes (yes, prunes!))
* Learn simple techniques for making wholesome nutrient desserts to serve your family, gift to friends, or treat yourself!
* Learn about conventional & natural sugars and sweeteners for use in your kitchen
* Learn how to make edible delights like cacao brownies or chocolate truffles
* Make your own take-home sweet treat surprise!
* Plus lots of recipes and tasting samples!
This class is suitable both for beginner and intermediates.
Stephanie Gruber is a trained and certified Nutrition Consultant and Educator, an alumna of Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts, and holds a Bachelors of Arts from Empire State College in Israel. She has also completed a kitchen apprenticeship at Three Stone Hearth with an emphasis on nutrient dense traditional cooking and is a member of the Weston A. Price Foundation.
