Composting for Renters

This workshop is part of "Reuse, Redesign, Restore: a series about Zero Waste" and is geared for those with limited outdoor space or no yard.

We'll solve common dilemmas that renters face and explore several options for composting your kitchen scraps indoors, and possibilities for how to use your finished compost. One popular and accessible method is worm composting using red wiggler worms, which we'll explore in detail. We will discuss choosing a bin, care and feeding of compost worms, troubleshooting, and harvesting the finished worm castings. Sources of worms, where to get a bin, and reference materials will also be covered.

Please specify when registering if ASL interpretation is requested, (at least 10 working days in advance).
