The Most Expensive Homes For Sale In The Berkeley-Oakland Area

Check out these large homes in the region with all sorts of amenities

The Bay Area housing market has cooled off along with the fall weather.

In September, the median price as well as home sales in the nine-county Bay Area decreased from the month before.

Both were still up from September 2012, however.

The median price for all types of homes in the Bay Area is now $530,000, about 2 percent less than it was in August.

With that in mind, we thought we'd see what are still some of the most expensive homes for sale in Berkeley-Oakland area.

In Berkeley, there's this four-bedroom, five-bathroom home at 48 Hill Road that's listed at $2.4 million.

The 4,537-square-foot house sits on a quarter of an acre. It has high ceilings, a chef's kitchen and Swiss Pear cabinets.

In the Oakland Hills, there's this four-bedroom, four-bathroom home at 690 Hiller Drive that's listed at $1.5 million.

The 3,201-square-foot house sits on a fifth of an acre. It has panoramic views, high ceilings and a gourmet kitchen.

In Alameda, this eight-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home at 1232 Bay St. is listed at $2.5 million.

The 4,075-square-foot house sits on four-tenths of an acre. It has a grand foyer, dining room fireplace and a sunroom.
