Monday is Indigenous People's Day
What's closed as Berkeley's answer to Columbus Day turns 20 this year.
Federal and state workers, most bank employees and students of Berkeley Unified all have Monday off in honor of what had been known as Columbus Day until 1992. UC Berkeley does not have the day off and BUSD teachers have a staff development day.
