National Voters Registration Day - Register to Vote at Downtown BART Plaza

September 25th is the first National Voter Registration Day.  In Berkeley, eligible citizens can register at the BART Plaza at Center Street and Shattuck Avenue between 11 am and  3 pm.

Members of the League of Women Voters and the American Association of University will answer questions. UC Berkeley students and Berkeley City College students will join the effort, which is also supported by the Berkeley Downtown Association.

In 2008, six million Americans did not vote because they missed a registration deadline or did not know how to register.
