Veteran Sen. Dianne Feinstein won re-election in a landslide. A term-limits measure won handily, and Proposition 29, a $1-a-box cigarette tax, was leading with a slim edge despite $47 in spending by cigarette companies. And proposition 28, which cuts the total time a state lawmaker may serve from 14 years to 12 years, but it allows 12 years' service in one house.
