City Officials Attempt to Close WeedMaps Top-Rated Pot Collective

Due to alleged zoning violations, the city of Berkeley could shut down Dwight Way pot dispensary, Greenleaf Wellness Group.

City officials are attempting to shut down Berkeley medical marijuana co-op, Greenleaf Wellness Group, after receiving multiple neighbor complaints about the collective, the Oakland Tribune reported.

Greenleaf, which sits on the 1500 block of Dwight Way, serves as a pot dispensary as well as a lounge for marijuana users to socialize and medicate. The co-op received one of the highest scores (4.8 out of a 5 point scale) in the area on WeedMaps.com, a popular interactive pot dispensary mapping and rating website.

Neighbor complaints about Greenleaf were mainly about customers “hanging out in cars, littering and smoking in public,” the Mercury News reported.
