Woman's Body Found on Emeryville Beach
Police say the case is being investigated as an unattended death.

A woman's body was found on an Emeryville beach this morning (Thursday), police said. At 7:14 a.m., a passerby called police to report seeing an unresponsive person on the beach at Shorebird Park, located off of the western end of Powell Street on a stretch of land that juts out into the Bay.
Emergency personnel responded and pronounced the woman dead.

The case is being investigated as an unattended death, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call Emeryville police at (510) 596-3700.
