Woman Robbed at Gunpoint Sunday Evening

The robber escaped with the victim's wallet and cell phone.

A woman was robbed at gunpoint Sunday evening, May 5, in the 2400 block of Fulton Street, University of California Police said in a press release.

The woman was approached from behind about 9:20 p.m. by a man who pulled out a gun and demanded the victim's property, police said. He grabbed the woman's cell phone and wallet before fleeing, police said.

The victim was not physically injured during the robbery, police said.

UC and Berkeley Police Department officers searched the area but were unable to locate the subject, the press release said.

Police described the suspect as a Black male in his late 20s, 240 lbs., with a heavy build, wearing a black hat with a red bill, black windbreaker, black polo shirt and dark jeans.
