Two juveniles were arrested after a 19-year-old female student was pushed to the ground, punched and robbed of her wallet and cell phone.

University of California Police Department officers arrested two teenage girls on suspicion of strong-arm robbery after a 19-year-old female UC Berkeley student was attacked and robbed early Sunday morning, police said.

According to police, the student was walking on a pathway near the West Crescent and University Drive, close to the south side of the Li Ka Shing Building, when she was accosted at about 1:41 a.m. on Sunday, April 14.

The student was talking on her cell phone when two female juveniles approached her from behind and forced her to the ground, police said. One girl pinned the victim to the ground while the other punched the victim once on the left cheek, police said. The victim sustained minor injuries.
