UC Berkeley Student Accused of Filming Women in Dorm Showers

A 19-year-old University of California at Berkeley student has been charged with six misdemeanor counts of invading privacy for allegedly shooting several cellphone videos of women showering in dormitories in recent months, campus police said.

Jason Do was arrested earlier this month in connection with two incidents at the Maximino Martinez Commons residence hall, according to university police. The first incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on March 15 when a woman who was showering at the dormitory looked up and saw two hands holding a cellphone above her shower stall, police said.

The woman screamed and heard the suspect run away, according to police. The second incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. on April 2. The same woman was showering in a co-ed shower when someone entered the shower stall next to her but didn't turn on the water, police said.

The victim looked up and saw a cellphone being pointed at her from the next stall. She screamed and the suspect fled the bathroom, according to police. University police said they conducted an extensive investigation and ultimately determined that there were "multiple victims" of Do.
 
Police said they arrested him on suspicion of unlawful peeking with an electronic device.
