Campus Police investigate strong-arm robberies, make arrest on homicide warrant.

Wednesday, May 2

1:31 p.m. – Police arrested Bruce Underwood, 41, wanted on a South Carolina felony homicide warrant, at People’s Park. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

10:24 p.m. Police arrested Robert Delima, 40, for a California Corrections Department felony no-bail warrant for battery on a police officer at Clubhouse Pools. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

Friday, May 4

12:50 p.m. – Police arrested Kyle Ford, 26 at Dwinelle Plaza for three counts of battery. He was booked at the Berkeley Police Department and will be excluded from campus for seven days.

12:59 p.m. -- Campus police are seeking a white male in his 30s who goes by the nickname of "Rabbit" in connection with an assault and strong-arm robbery of a 42-year-old man in People's Park. The suspect is about 5 feet 6 inches, with a thin build, blond hair and a goatee, and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and dark gray jeans.

7:03 p.m. -- A man reported receiving a suspicious package at 785 Soda Hall. The package taken to UCPD for further investigation.

7:08 p.m. -- Campus police assisted Berkeley city police with the apprehension of two strong-arm robbery suspects at College and Durant avenues.

10:18 p.m. – Campus police are seeking three suspects in connection with an armed robbery and strong-arm robbery involving a knife on three students, one female and two male, all age 19, on Gayley Road in front of Stern Hall. Reported loss: $667.85

The first suspect is described as a black male age 22 to 24 with a skinny build, a shaved head and wearing a white or red hooded sweatshirt. The second is described as a black male age 24 to 26, with a shaved head, a large build and also wearing a hooded sweatshirt. The driver is described as a white male in his early 20s with long curly black hair in a pony tail and wearing a baggy white T-shirt. The vehicle is believed to be a white 1990s-era Japanese mid-sized car, with a license plate number similar to 6QTW582.

Saturday, May 5

3:32 p.m. – Campus police arrested John Hunter, 51, for violation of probation and a court order at Dwight Way and Telegraph Avenue. He was booked into jail at the Berkeley Police Department.

4:13 p.m. – A woman reported a suspicious circumstance, possibly an Internet scam. Campus police are investigating.

5:53 p.m. – Police arrested Jonathan Leonard, 33, for urinating in public on the 2500 block of Dwight Way.

9:36 p.m. – A 34-year-old man reported an attempted burglary via a door pry at UVA 145. Police are investigating.

Sunday, May 6

2:55 a.m. – Assisted Berkeley city police with a suspect who was brandishing a weapon at Eighth Street and Channing Way.

4:07 p.m. – A 24-year-old woman reported a window had been smashed in her 2001 Ford Explorer and burglarized at Coffer Dam. Missing was a brown leather Coach clutch wallet and its contents and a black iPhone 4S with accessories for an estimated loss of $750.
