UC Berkeley Police Corporal Dies
Timothy Zuniga 'touched every facet of our organization.'
University of California at Berkeley police have announced that a corporal with the department passed away unexpectedly this week.
Cpl. Tim Zuniga died from natural causes while off duty on Monday morning, according to a statement released Thursday by UC police Chief Mitchell Celaya.
Zuniga joined the department in 2003 and served as an officer, corporal, administration training officer, crime prevention officer, detective, defensive tactics instructor, field training officer and background investigator, police said. His service "touched every facet of our organization and his passing is hard-felt by us all," Celaya said. "His contributions to our department have carved a legacy and spirit that will remain with us for generations to come."
