Police: Two Injured in Berkeley Shooting

No suspect information has been released.

Berkeley police are investigating a shooting in the area of Russell and California streets this afternoon that left two people injured.

Police were called to the area just after 4:30 p.m. when multiple 911 callers reported gunshots, according to police Officer Jennifer Coats. Responding officers were told of one victim, and located a second at the scene, Coats said.
 
One victim is a 21-year-old male, the second a male, possibly around 18 years old, Coats said. Both were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information was made available.

Russell Street is closed between California Street and McGee Avenue due to the investigation and California is closed between Russell and Julia streets, Coats said.
