Police Asking for Public's Help in Locating Missing Boy

Gaijin Holquin, 16, of Oakland was reported missing last August after he failed to return home from a trip to the movies and shopping. Police say he has reportedly been seen in Berkeley since that time.

From an Oakland Police Department press release:

The Oakland Police Department is requesting assistance from the media and the public in locating missing person Gaijin Holquin, an Oakland youth who has reportedly been seen in Berkeley since his disappearance.

On August 3, 2012, at about 9:00 AM, Holquin was last seen at home by his family members. He told his mother that he was going to see a movie at the AMC theaters and then after the movie, he was going to shop at GameStop and Best Buy in Emeryville. He never returned home.

Holquin is reported to be in good mental and physical condition. He has no history of being reported missing or running away. Since Holquin’s disappearance, he has been reportedly seen in the Berkeley and City of Alameda areas.

Holquin is a male, 16 years of age, 5’8, 150 pounds, brown hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, gray shirt with blue and white stripes, and black jeans. He was carrying a back pack.
