Berkeley Man Suspected of Breaking into San Leandro Home at Gunpoint

One resident trailed the suspects' vehicle, after Dion Donaldson allegedly robbed the San Leandro family.

Dion Donaldson, 29, of Berkeley, along with two other men, is suspected of breaking into a San Leandro home and robbing a family at gunpoint Wednesday night. He was arrested shortly after the crime, police said.

A resident of the home called 911 at about 7:30 p.m. to report that several men had forced entry into his home and robbed his family at gunpoint and that he was trailing the suspects' vehicle, according to police.

Police said that all the items taken from the home, including cash, a Sony PlayStation and an Xbox, were recovered from inside the vehicle. The three suspects were arrested and booked.
