UPDATE: Eastbound Lanes on 24 Open after Separate Collisions

Two lanes of eastbound 24 were blocked after accidents near Claremont Avenue and Broadway.

Update 8 a.m.:  A Sig-alert was issued at 6:13 a.m. for two right lanes that were closed. The alert was canceled at 7:15 a.m. when all lanes were open, CHP Officer J. Evans said.

Multiple traffic collisions with at least one major injury occurred on eastbound state Highway 24 early this morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

A solo-vehicle crash on state Highway 24, that occurred at the intersection with Broadway, just before the Caldecott Tunnel was reported at 5:52 a.m.

A two-vehicle accident that occurred on eastbound state Highway 24 was located just west of Claremont Avenue and reported at 5:56 a.m., according to the CHP.

A Sig-alert was issued at 6:13 a.m. and the two right lanes of traffic on state Highway 24 are blocked.

At least one person was injured, with a possible broken jaw, according to a CHP officer.
