Firefighters Respond to House Fire on Blake

The Berkeley Fire Department said the blaze was "on the way to being controlled" as of 3 p.m. Sunday.

Firefighters in Berkeley were at the scene of a one-alarm house fire this afternoon (Sunday), a dispatcher said.

The fire was reported at a home in the 1700 block of Blake Street at about 2:30 p.m., according to Berkeley fire dispatch.

Firefighters remained at the scene as of 3 p.m. and preliminary reports indicated the blaze was on the way to being controlled, the dispatcher said.

There were no immediate reports of any injuries.
