Clothing Store Damaged in Early Morning Fire
The fire was on College Avenue, less than a mile from the campus.
Fire crews battled a one-alarm fire at a denim clothing store in Berkeley Wednesday morning, a dispatcher said.
Firefighters responded to a report of a fire in the 2800 block of College Avenue around 4:20 a.m., the dispatcher said. The fire was under control by 5:09 a.m., according to the dispatcher.
The blaze was at denim clothing store Slash, located less than a mile south from the University of California at Berkeley, the dispatcher said.
No injuries were reported, according to the dispatcher.
