City Offers $20,000 Reward for Information in 2010 Murder Case

The reward is offered for information leading to arrest and conviction in the South Berkeley murder of Adolfo Ignacio Celedon Bravo.

A reward for information in the 2010 shooting death of Adolfo Ignacio Celedon Bravo at Adeline and Emerson streets is now $20,000, after a contribution from Celedon's native country of Chile.

Berkeley police issued a statement on Wednesday offering the reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects in the homicide investigation.

Early in the morning on Sep. 12, 2010, Ignacio "Fito" Celedon, 35, was walking home in South Berkeley with his fiancée, according to police. At Adeline and Emerson streets around 3:41 a.m., two male suspects wearing dark clothing confronted the couple to rob them and shot Celedon.
