Campus Police Log: Strong-Arm Robbery, Dumpster Diving, Pot Smoking

Monday, Sept. 10

4:45 a.m. - Two men, ages 61 and 46, were dumpster diving on Centennial/Rim Way.

7 p.m. - Marijuana activity at the Recreational Sports Facility Field House.

Tuesday, Sept. 11

3:03 p.m. - A 34-year-old man was arrested on Telegraph Ave. on suspicion of possessing paraphernalia as well as probation violation and violation of a court order.

3:33 p.m. -A 19-year-old man was committed for a psychiatric evaluation at the Tang B. Sato Center. Cal Medic responded and transported to Alta Bates Hospital and later to John George.

5:40 p.m. - A 33-year-old man located at the Unit 3 loading dock was committed for a psychiatric evaluation. He was transported to Alta Bates Hospital and later to John George.

5:56 p.m. - An 18-year-old woman reported a peeping tom, who had a camera. The suspect is described as a white man, medium build, 50 to 60-years-old with short grey hair.

Wednesday, Sept. 12

11:34 a.m. - A 20-year-old woman was the victim of a strong-arm robbery. She was escorted to an ATM machine at Lower Sproul Plaza and took out $400. The suspect is described as a while male in his 20s with a thin build and short hair.

1:14 p.m. - A 52-year-old man was arrested for a $175,000 warrant. He was transported to the Berkeley Police Department's Jail. His white 1989 Dodge Dakota pick-up truck was towed.
