Berkeley resident and former U.C. Berkeley student Brendan McManus, 27, was discovered dead in the Oakland hills Satuday morning.
He was reported missing by his family on Wednesday, after he failed to return to his home Tuesday night. "Brendan has had episodes of depression and has been on antidepressants in the recent past, but was not evidently depressed in the week leading up to his disappearance," said a statement released by McManus' family and friend before news of his death.
Berkeley Police Department is investigating the death, but there were are no obcious signs of foul play, Lt. Ed Spiller told the San Francisco Chronicle.
