Berkeley Police Blotter: Robbery, Residential Burglary And More

June 16

Robbery, University Avenue/Bonar Street: On Sunday, June 16 at approximately 7 pm, a robbery occurred near the intersection of University Avenue and Bonar Street. The victim was walking in the area when the unknown suspect approached him from behind. The suspect forcibly removed the victim's cell phone from his grasp and fled the area.

The suspect is described as:

"Black Male, 20s, 5'11", 200 pounds wearing all black clothing."

June 17

Residential Burglary, 500 Block of Arlington Avenue: On Monday, June 17 between 9:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. a residential burglary occurred in the 500 block of Arlington Avenue. The unknown suspect entered the home possibly through an unlocked window. The suspect prowled through several rooms in the home and stole cash.

June 18

Vandalism, 2000 Block of Bancroft Way: On Tuesday, June 18 at approximately 11:38 p.m., an unknown suspect vandalized a business in the 2000 block of Bancroft Way. The suspect threw a rock through the window of a business causing damage. 

June 19

Auto Burglary, 2400 Block of Fulton Street: On Wednesday, June 19 at approximately 11:31 a.m., the victim reported his vehicle broken into while it was parked in the 2400 block of Fulton Street. The vehicle was parked and locked the previous night. When the victim went out in the morning he discovered an unknown suspect broke a window and stole his backpack out of the vehicle. 

June 20

Vandalism, 1900 Block of El Dorado: On Thursday, June 20 at approximately 10:21 a.m., the reporting party notified BPD of an incident of vandalism that occurred in the 1900 block of El Dorado Avenue. An unknown suspect using spray paint, painted the windows to the building.

June 21

Stolen Vehicle, 2000 Block of Prince Street: On Friday, June 21 at approximately 7:31 a.m., the victim reported their vehicle stolen from the 2000 block of Prince Street. The victim had parked the vehicle on the street the previous night. When he came out in the morning he discovered an unknown suspect stole the vehicle. Taken was a red, 1993, Honda Civic. The vehicle was located the next by the California Highway Patrol in Oakland. 

June 22

Loud Reports, 2800 Block of Park Street: On Saturday, June 22 at approximately 9:42 p.m., BPD responded to a report of loud reports heard in the area of San Pablo Park. BPD officers checked that area and were able to determine the loud reports were fireworks.
