Aggravated Assault Involving Milk Cartons on Durant Avenue

Suspects Aaron Rahael Carmona, 23, and Sean Cater, 26 were arrested Sunday morning for hitting and throwing milk cartons at victims along Durant Avenue.

Two male suspects were arrested for aggravated assault involving milk cartons early Sunday morning, according to UC Berkeley Police Department.

UCBP responded to a report on the confrontation at 2530 Durant Avenue on Sunday, March 3, at 1:37 a.m.

Four affiliated victims — two men and two women — were walking near Top Dog restaurant when two male suspects began harassing the women. One of the men asked the suspects to stop.

The first suspect, 23-year-old Aaron Raphael Carmona, began punching the male victim. The second suspect, 26-year-old Sean Carter, began punching the other male victim. Both suspects then picked up plastic milk cartons and began hitting and throwing them at the victims.

When UCPD officers arrived on scene Carmona and Cater attempted to flee. Carmona was apprehended in the Top Dog parking lot and the Carter was found hiding in a car parked in the lot. Both were arrested.

The victims received facial injuries during the encounter and were treated by Berkeley Fire Department.
