3 Instances of Exposure & Lewd Act at Cal Dorms

A man exposed himself and performed a lewd act in view of female students in three instances Wednesday night at UC Berkeley, including two times in a women's restroom at a dorm, according to campus police.

The first two incidents took place in a women's restroom about 10:45 p.m. and 11:05 p.m. in a women's restroom in Unit 3, police said in a "crime alert" today, Thursday. The second incident occurred at 11:28 p.m. when three female students were exercising in the Unit 1 workout room, police said.

The suspect eluded a search by several police officers, police said.

Indecent Exposure

On Wednesday, November 6th, 2013 UCPD received several reports of indecent exposure.  The first two incidents took place in the Unit 3 Central Common Building.  At approximately 10:45 p.m. an 18 year old female student entered the women’s restroom near room L34.  The suspect was hiding inside the restroom.  When the victim entered a stall the suspect came out and stood in the middle of the room, exposed his genitals and proceeded to masturbate.  The victim fled the restroom.  The second incident occurred at approximately 11:05 p.m. in the same women’s restroom.  The victim, a 21 year old female student, was washing her hands at the sink when she observed the suspect.  The suspect’s genitals were exposed and he was masturbating.   The victim fled the restroom and reported the incident to the Residential Advisor who called the police. 

That same evening at 11:28 p.m. UCPD received a report of a suspect exposing himself to a group of females at the Unit 1 workout room.  The three female student victims, ranging in age from 17 to 19, were all working out when they looked over towards a window and saw the suspect standing in front of the window with his genitals exposed and he was masturbating.  The suspect walked toward the central building exit doors and left the area.  Multiple UCPD officers responded to the scene and searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect was described as:

A White male in his late 20s or early 30s, 5’10” to 6’00” in height, with a medium build, short dark colored hair, unshaven face,  wearing a black zip-up hoodie, with black windbreaker type pants.
