14-Year-Old Boy Charged in Armed Robbery of 11-Year-Old
The Alameda County District Attorney's office has charged a 14-year-old boy with armed robbery for allegedly using a pellet gun to rob an 11-year-old boy of $5 as the younger boy walked to school in Oakland, police said today.

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with armed robbery for allegedly using a pellet gun to steal $5 from an 11-year-old boy in Oakland on Nov. 1, police said today, Tuesday.
The 11-year-old boy was walking to school in the 2500 block of 19th Avenue at about 7:20 a.m. on Nov. 1 when the 14-year-old allegedly approached him, according to Oakland police.
The 14-year-old demanded the 11-year-old's cellphone but instead took money from the younger boy, police said.
The 14-year-old surrendered to Oakland police on Saturday. Authorities didn't release his name because he's a juvenile.
