Brown, Bonilla, and Torlakson: Soft on accountability
There will be a one-year lapse in California schools testing accountability, just after many of our schools have performed disastrously. The honest truth is that under the current leadership, California has not found a way to provide all of our children with a quality education, so what better time to take a break from accountability. I suspect the children of most of our elected officials are no longer in the k-12 system, or are in successful public schools or private schools. Governor Brown and his wife only have a dog, no kids, right? For those of us who just watched our child's future school bomb, one year without accountability is not acceptable.
