Berkeley Death Notices: Bonds, Fujikawa, Gonzalez

Three people with ties to Berkeley passed away recently: Berkeley native Joel Robert Bonds, 65; Vacaville resident Irene A. Fujikawa, 88, who belonged to the Berkeley Higashi Honganji Temple; and Berkeley native Arthur Federico Gonzalez.

Arthur Federico Gonzalez, a native of Berkeley who grew up in Oakland and graduated from St. Joseph's School in Alameda in 1975. He worked at Westco Products for 20 years and then Bio-Rad Laboratories for 10 years. Gonzalez passed away on July 27 at the age of 56.

Irene A. Fujikawa, a resident of Vacaville, she lived in Hercules for 20 years. Fujikawa was a member of the Berkeley Higashi Honganji Temple. She passed away on July 30 at the age of 88.

Joel Robert Bonds, 
a resident of Clear Lake, was born in Berkeley and attended Berkeley schools before his family moved to Palm Springs, where he graduated from high school in 1965. He passed away on July 21 at the age of 65.
