George Orwell wrote Animal Farm, 1984 and other works that made him famous in his own lifetime.
In 1946 he turned his talent inward with an essay titled, "Why I Write?"
It said in part that:
"All writers are vain, selfish, and lazy . . . Writing a book is a horrible, exhausting struggle . . . One would never undertake such a thing if one were not driven on by some demon . . . For all one knows that demon is simply the same instinct that makes a baby squall for attention."
Now, don't be frightened away from starting a blog. After all, Orwell contradicts himself in word and deed. And his ideas live to this day.
So blog on!
You have nothing to lose but your anonymity and much to gain in attention for your ideas, cause, product, service or hobby.
