Pet Food Pantry

Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society launched the Pet Food Pantry in 2010 to provide free monthly pet food to low-income pet guardians in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Since its inception in February 2010, Pet Food Pantry has given out over 2,500 pounds of food, plus donated collars, leashes and other pet supplies.

Open on the last Saturday of every month at 2700 Ninth Street in Berkeley. Prospective clients are encouraged to bring completed applications to these monthly events, and are usually able to take home their first supply of free pet food that day.

Eligible persons are low-income dog or cat owners residing in Alameda or Contra Costa Counties.
