Community Corner

Count Me In!

Run by Solano Community Church, the Count Me In service projects are expressions of grace intended to help the elderly and needy in our community. They are a great opportunity to get to know people and to help those in need. The work mostly entails yard work, light construction, and some cleaning. We usually deploy teams of 4-6 people to several homes, as well as two senior centers and a local school.

The next CMI service day is scheduled for October 8, 2011. We hope you'll consider joining the ranks of our volunteers to help; we'll find a project that fits your expertise and experience.

This event is open to anyone willing to serve, regardless of religious background.

There will also be youth projects for those first grade and above.
