Temple Beth Hillel Sunday Morning Bagel Brunch

   Escape from Egypt!

    An Interactive Decluttering Workshop

Join Temple Beth Hillel members Jane Kemp and Debra Salan for a “liberating” morning on how to clear the clutter out of your home, in anticipation of Passover and the season of renewal that is Spring.

By participating in this seminar learn how to set guidelines on what to keep and what to get rid of without the guilt that often follows throwing away stuff when you approach the other cluttered spaces in your life.

  1. On the morning of the workshop, set your timer for 18 minutes. Grab large garbage bags, sizable plastic bins, or several suitcases. Quickly go through your home and “dump” the contents of junk drawers, shelves with miscellaneous “stuff ” and unidentifiable items into the containers.
  2. Work quickly and stop after 18 minutes! Do not sort anything before you come to the workshop.
  3. Load the containers into your car. On the way to the workshop, think about how “enslaved” you are to your material things and how the act of “decluttering” can be liberating.

Note: recycling and trash containers will be available for items you wish to donate or toss as applicable. If you donate your suitcases, be sure to bring something to take home your “keeps.”
