Winter Camp

Schools out, so now's the time to discover new things, mess around and have fun. With new adventures each day, you can put on your goggles and mix up a few concoctions, create your own gadgets, and get to know some new animal friends. Winter Camp is for kids age 4½ –11 (children are grouped by age).

Week 1: Design, Build, Test
December 26, 27, 28 (Age 4.5-5 section is Full.)
Campers will have fun designing, building, and testing simple machines and structures, including ones to bring home! They will meet live animals and learn how they “build” their homes. They can explore space in our Planetarium and find out how astronauts design, build, and test tools for space adventures. Activities are adapted for each age group.

Week 2: Winter Wonderland
January 2, 3, 4 (Age 4.5-5 section is Full.)
Explore really cold temperatures. Make concoctions that bring winter snow and ice inside, including some we can eat! Venture into space in our Planetarium and find out where it’s coldest. Meet live animals and find out how they survive in frigid climates. Activities are adapted for each age group.
