Berkeley artists Austin Brewin and Michael O'Leary are two of the 20 whose portfolios are included in the Hayward Area Recreation District’s PhotoCentral presentatiion of “A Single Step...Begins the Journey" - the culmination of the Advanced Portfolio Class by Geir Jordahl and Oliver Klink. This exhibition is a showcase of 20 artists exploring the medium of photography as a pathway to personal expression.
The show begins with a portfolio viewing offering the public personal insight into each artists’ working process and body of work. The subject matter is diverse and a wide range of artistic ideas are explored by this dedicated group of photographers.
There will be a public reception and portfolio viewing on Friday, October 19 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. The event is free and the public is invited. The exhibition continues through December 13.
The PhotoCentral Gallery is located at 1099 E Street, Hayward, California and is open Monday from 5 pm -10 pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am - 1 pm and by appointment.
