HENRY VI, PART 3, by William Shakespeare

In concert with our Fall 2012 main stage production of Shakespeare's RICHARD III, the tragic drama featuring history's greatest villain, Actors Ensemble of Berkeley is producing a series of staged readings of related works.

Detailing the events during the War of the Roses immediately preceding that of RICHARD III, HENRY VI PART 3 is a complex work that encompasses power, barbarism, family dissolution, and ultimately madness. What fun!

Directed by Alecks Rundell, who most recently had his spectacle of light and dance Journey of Light featured at the SF Fringe Festival.  Alecks has deftly cast this work cross-gendered, so perhaps it should be re-titled "Henrietta VI".
