Downtown Berkeley Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration

Come celebrate the start of the holiday season at the Downtown Berkeley Tree Lighting in BART Plaza on Friday, November 30th, 5:30-6:30pm with family-friendly activities!

Mayor Tom Bates will light the holiday tree, and the DBA will serve free holiday treats: cookies from PIQ and Almare Gelato’s famous hot chocolate. The Cal Jazz Choir a cappella group will enliven the festive occasion with holiday songs and carols. There will even be a visit from Santa Claus, and families are invited to bring cameras to take a keepsake photo with Santa in front of the brilliant lights!

The Downtown Berkeley Holiday Tree Lighting celebration is produced by the Downtown Berkeley Association, in partnership with Buy Local Berkeley, Downtown Berkeley YMCA, and Habitot Children’s Museum. The Downtown Berkeley Association is an independent nonprofit organization, funded by Downtown property owners, and focused on creating a welcoming, vibrant and prosperous City Center.
